Terrazzo is the type of stone obtained as a result of compressing more than one raw material pieces with colored cement at high pressure and applying steam curing. Terrazzo, which does not have any raw material standard in its production, can contain many natural and artificial materials with different properties such as marble, granite, travertine, quartz pieces, glass, plastic sawdust, epoxy-based resins, mussel shells. Depending on the terrazzo stone desired to be obtained, all of these materials together or together with the selected ones are blended with cement and water in the desired color at high pressure. While the prepared mixture is used as a floor and surface coating by pouring, air bubbles that may occur in fabrication are removed and the material is pressed in order to be non-porous in fabrication production, and terrazzo sheets are formed.
